Another update to linuxfd is available at https://pypi.python.org/pypi/linuxfd/1.3. I had to fix the conversion between timespec and float due to precision and/or domain errors. Time values are now processed as double internally. Timerfd now works as expected, even when using absolute timers. My repository at GitHub (https://github.com/FrankAbelbeck/linuxfd) provides an updated ebuild as well.
If you wonder what became of version 1.2: I had missed a typo, but PyPi would not let me replace the source tar ball.
