It’s some kind of tradition to look back at the old year in December, but I intend to look forward.

Recently I switched to the unstable branch of mail-client/thunderbird. Now I am using Thunderbird 17.0-r2 and that means I can continue to maintain and upgrade ThunderSync in 2013. For example I’ve to fix the “popularity index” issue, and of course changes in the addressbook API have to be “addressed”.

But this will take some time as I’m finishing my PhD thesis in 2013, too.

My FotoPreProcessor program will also see some fixes. It will be joined by a FotoPostProcessor program, which will manage the post-processing of imported and tagged photos (i.e. it will be some kind of task manager for UFRaw and The Gimp). Speaking of photo processing, a more thorough calibration of the Canon EF-S 15-85 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens has to be done in 2013 as well.
